NYC Sparkle Eyedust Eyeshadow

New York Color Sparkle Eyedust

Inside my #ParadiseVoxbox was a NYC Sparkle Eyedust eyeshadow in "Smoky Topaz". It is a shimmery light bronze with a hint of purple. The eyeshadow itself is super pigmented and at first I felt like I had applied too much. The color is bright and shimmery, and definitely popped. I added some green to it because I felt it really went well with it. Of course I hadn't realized my eyeliner was messed up until after editing the photo, doh! my bad. As you can see though the color looks great and blended really well. I used the applicator and a regular make-up brush. While the applicator worked alright, I still really prefer a brush instead. The applicator is like the type you'd have on a lip gloss. I found it to be a bit messy when pulling it out to use it. It would get a little bit too much eyeshadow onto it which cause a bit of fallout. No matter how I pulled the applicator out (slow, fast) it still ending up dropping eyeshadow all over the place. It wasn't too big of a deal at the beginning, but I had to be careful when reapplying it because I didn't want it to get all over my clothes. Speaking of reapplying, it actually was hours before I had to touch it up a bit. It definitely would last the whole night if you had a date or ladies night out, and you wouldn't have to mess with it.

There are a total of 10 shades

  1. 879 Opal Sparkle: Shimmery White
  2. 880 Golden Champagne: Light Shimmery God
  3. 881 Pink Topaz: Very Light Pink S
  4. 882 Smokey Topaz Light Purple Shimmer with brown undertones
  5. 883 Amber Glitz: Darker Shimmery Gold
  6. 884 Bronze Shimmer
  7. 885 Amethyst Dazzle
  8. 886 Aquamarine Sparkle
  9. 887 Brilliant Sapphire
  10. 888 Diamond Dust

The best thing is that they're super affordable so you can get every color and not have a huge hit to your wallet. They're only about $2 a piece so why not try them all out? You can find pictures of all the available colors on the NYC Color website: Click Here.

Beauty Product #7: NYC Lip Gloss

BEAUTY PRODUCT #7

 NYC Liquid Lipshine
#574 City's Clear

I was fortunate to be picked as a badge winner over on Influenster for sharing about NYC Liquid Shine. So as a prize I got not one, but two NYC LiquidShine lip glosses in "City's Clear". I was kind of unsure about a clear lipgloss because what would be the point, right? Well so glad I got this because I love it! It moisturized my lips, which were a bit dry because of the chilly weather. It wasn't greasy and went on really smoothly. It gives your lips a nice shine without it being too shiney. You know? No well just take my word for it, okay? I still have issues with the applicator tips as they always seem to take out more than I'd like, but it is not a deterrent.

The best thing that I like about NYC liquidshine, and just NYC products in general, is the affordable price. The NYC Liquidshine ranges from $1 - $2, so you could really get a ton for your collection. The lip glosses are consistently good as I've tried a few of them.
As you can see with "City's Clear", it really highlights the natural colors in your lips. See how much healthier my lips look on the bottom? So have you tried out NYC Liquidshine Lip Gloss? Leave a comment below, which I might add will count as a comment for some extra entries.

NYC Individual Eyes Palette

INDIVIDUAL EYES PALETTE: DARK SHADOWS

I was really happy to see a eyeshadow palette included in my Influenster Beauty Blogger Box. I had actually never seen this product from NYC before so was excited to try it out. This palette comes with 4 shadows, 1 primer, and one illuminator. Now I didn't even know there was a illuminator as I didn't even read the cover before I set off to try out. I now noticed I made a mistake and used the illuminator as a base primer instead of the actual primer.

The colors are white, light gray, medium gray, and a black. They are perfect for night time wear, but you could also use them during the day. The colors are pigmented and go on very smoothly. I did have to work a bit with the lightest gray to get the color I wanted. For me it was too light, almost looking like white. Now this could have been my fault as like I said I used the illuminator instead of the actual primer. The medium gray was super pigmented and a little definitely went a long way. It blended really easily and smoothly, it was great! The black..wow the black was just wonderful. It was super pigmented and I just needed a couple of taps of it. I definitely love this black as I have been looking for a black this pigmented. It really is going to be my go to black from now on. With me being a beginner the instructions on the back really helped, now I may not have followed them completely but I still loved the end result that I got.

Now this palette is limited edition so go out and get it before it's gone. The best thing is it is very affordable at $4.99 for this palette. It comes with everything you need to look great! NYC: New York Color is a great brand and makes some beautiful affordable make up products that everyone can use.

NYC "Classic Coral Creme" Polish Review

Long Wearing Polish
#130 CLASSIC CORAL CREME

So while at Target I decided I needed a new polish. Yes I needed a new one and because it was $0.94 I decided it was definitely coming home with me. Now when I think about coral I actually think of a more peach colored pink, and not a hot pink. This polish has a bubble gum pink polish with a ton of white shimmer. It is a very sheer polish that you can build upon. With as sheer as it is, it took three coats to fully cover my nail.

I normally wouldn't wear such a bright pink, but I thought it looked cute and wasn't too overpowering. It was smooth and went on easily. I didn't have a chance to see how long it actually lasted because I was also trying out another polish. I have tried other NYC polishes and they lasted an average length of time, they were on par with more expensive brands.

I think you should go buy yourself some NYC Long Lasting nail polishes because they have some great shades, they're super duper affordable, and they go chip free for days.

NYC New York Color Beauty Review

NYC New York Color

I was very fortunate to receive a NYC "Nude York City" Liquid Lipshine in my Latina Beauty Box from Influenster. I was super excited to try it out as I love NYC Cosmetics. They're all very affordable, long-lasting, and have a wide variety of colors.

So I am not a huge fan of lipstick as I find they just dry my lips out. The perfect compromise for me are lip glosses. I get the little hint of color I want plus they moisturize at the same time.  NYC makes a line of glosses. NYC Liquid Lipshine comes in 10 great shades from nudes to berries & fuschias that will match any skin color. They only go for $2.49 at many department stores by you and at that price you can afford to buy more than one. They have vitamin E in them to provide tons of shine and a moisturizing feeling. One little tip though, a little will go a long way! The brush is large and will get a lot of the gloss on it.

So as for my NYC Nude York City that I was sent its a beautiful sheer peachy color. It has a hint of gold shimmer mixed in to add just a little pop. It also has a great smell to it, which if you've been paying attention I have issues with smells. Its a sugary sweet piece of cake, so if you aren't too keen on sweet smells you might not enjoy it. It lasted a few hours before I had to reapply, but it wasn't any different than any other lip gloss.

I'd highly recommend you go out and try one for yourself. They have some great shades, they're all affordable at $2.49, and are super pigmented!
